This week has been ridiculously busy. Here is a quick rundown:
Monday: Wine night at Alicia.
Tuesday: Drug rep dinner.
Wednesday: Late day at work.
Thursday: Dinner & Colts's game with Ericka.
Friday: Dinner and drinks with new friend, Carrie.
Saturday & Sunday: See below.
I'm going to start with Friday. I have met Carrie one time through my friend Alicia. Carrie is around my age & way into fitness. She is a trainer on the side and is extremely healthy. She sent me a facebook message on Thursday asking if I wanted to get together for drinks I called her and told her I could come over on Friday. She said she would have carrots, chicken, corn on the cob and watermelon. I was thinking to myself.."Um...I'll bring some potato skins and chocolate cake." :)
I was a little worried going over because I didn't know her. Normally I would have said no because the anxiety of going to a new place and hanging out one on one with a new friend would have been too much for me. I would have felt much better if Alicia was there. But, I have been doing a great job of taking my depression medication and thus my anxiety is much better under control.
I went over and we sat outside watching her kids play. She made dinner on the grill and it was absolutely delicious. She wrapped chicken, carrots and onions in foil (separately) and cooked the all on the grill. The chicken was amazing! Not at all dry and the best part was it didn't have all the black char-grilled stuff on the outside. The onions were also so sweet when cooked that way. When I went to the store today I bought everything to try to replicate this meal. It was so good! We didn't drink much, just a margarita and glass of wine. After the kids went to bed we sat inside and talked. There were some awkward silences but overall it was an okay time. I would definitely like to continue hanging out and see if we can become better friends and maybe over time it will become a little less awkward for me.
On Saturday, Alicia and I had the whole day planned together. She picked me up at 11 and we had Qdoba for lunch. Then we headed to the theater to see Eat Love Pray. The movie was okay. A little slow but it had Julia Roberts in it so it was good to watch. Julia Roberts is my absolute favorite! I was so tired during the movie and at times was having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I came home after the movie and took about an hour nap. Then I headed back to Alicia's for dinner. She made spaghetti & meatballs. She is the best cook. And lucky for me she cooks for me once or twice a week! After dinner she put her kids to bed and we spend the rest of the night drinking and chatting. I drank too much and was feeling pretty good. When I got home I was so tired that I went to bed without washing my face and brushing my teeth - which never happens. I also just stripped my clothes off and slept without any pajamas.
This morning I was suppose to work at my second job. I was going to work in a store that was just over an hour away. I drove to the store, dreading the day the entire way there. When I got there, there was another pharmacist scheduled as well. We talked and I told her I would be happy to go home and let her have the shift. So, I headed out and went home. I contacted the scheduler to let her know what happened. She called to apologize and said she would pay me for the 2 hours on the road. I came home and went back to bed. I then slept ALL DAY LONG. I woke up around 6. Picked up something for dinner and caught up on Jersey Shore. I paid bills and then headed to the store to get groceries. I bought all kinds of healthy stuff to keep me in line this week. When I got home I prepped fruits and veggies, then prepared my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow.
Now I'm sitting in bed. Gonna catch up on facebook, twitter and some blogs. See you tomorrow for my weigh in (which is NOT going to be good).
