Nursery pictures

Yes, I am still in the hospital!  Today is day 79 (11 weeks, 2 days) of hospital bed rest.  On July 5th, the doctor told me that I could go home at 34 weeks (7/21).  She said at that point they wouldn't do anything to stop labor.  I was so excited.  I started counting down the days.  We were so excited!

On July 11 we had our weekly ultrasound and it was full of news that made the doctor say, "You aren't going home anymore."  Boo!!
  • Cervical length was 0.6 cm.  "Nonexistant" according to my OB.  Will not bother to measure it anymore.
  • Dilated 5 cm.  Wow!  I bet those of you with regular labors would have loved to have gotten to 5 cm without even knowing it.  I just hope it doesn't keep going.
  • Baby girl had fallen off her growth curve.  She and her brother were both near the 90th percentile for their weights but she had fallen to 66th percentile.  She was estimated to be 3 lb 15 oz and he was estimated to be 4 lb 12 oz.  They did have a hard time getting her measurements to estimate her weight because of her positioning (she is extremely low) so it could be off.  I'm hoping it was.  The doctor said we would keep an eye on it.  If she continues to look like her growth is slowing down, they will schedule a c-section.  We do growth scans every 3 weeks.  The next one is due this Monday.
  • Fluid levels for baby girl looked low as well but they also had a hard time finding any pockets of fluid to measure.  I have had two u/s since them just to measure fluid and while it takes FOREVER for them to find something good to measure, they usually end up finding something sufficient.  So for now fluid levels look okay.
So, there are a lot of updates there.  Now I will give you all something a little more interesting & post some pics of the nursery.  I also have a video to post.  I've never done that before so hopefully it works.  Some of the pictures are before the walls were completely decorated, but the video is the completed room.

Girl bedding we purchased.

Boy bedding
Blinds, curtains, cribs & bedding. Walls were not completed.

Tall dresser with lamp.  You can see the polka dots on the boy's side.  The girl's side has pink instead of blue.

Short dresser/changing table.

Closet.  This is looking at the wall straight ahead (left half).

Closet.  This is the wall looking straight ahead (right half).

Sofa table downstairs in the living room.  It will serve as a changing table for now.
