Waiting

I'm currently sitting in a deli with my laptop.  I haven't done this since the days of college when I would sit in a restaurant or Starbucks for hours studying.

This morning I woke up early to meet a couple of women from my neighborhood.  One lives across the street from me and I have never met her.  Yep, we have lived here for 3 years and never talked to the people who live across the street.  The other was a woman who lives a few houses down.  We have talked a couple of times but don't know each other too well.  Someone sent out a facebook message trying to arrange a coffee date.  I think it's a great idea and I obviously need all the help I can get to meet my neighbors!

We spent about an hour and a half having coffee this morning and chatting.  It was nice.  There were a few awkward pauses and it was a little uncomfortable at times (I'm extremely shy when I first meet people) but definitely good.  I would go again if we decide to make it a monthly thing.

I got home and started watching last night's episode of Desperate Housewives but the cleaning people showed up much earlier than they usually do.  I don't like being home while they are trying to clean so I usually leave.  Today I packed up my stuff and decided to hit the cafe for lunch.

Now I am just sitting here waiting for another 30 minutes to pass so I can go to my doctor's appointment.  I have an appointment with the IVF nurse today to get my protocol, calendar and scripts.  I'm excited to see how things will be with a new doctor.  I am ready to get all this started!
